20250330 Aalst to the “Grote Heide”

2 1/2 hour round walk with starting point at the car park next to Sophiastraat 103, 5583 CB Waalre. There is a bus stop nearby. We start at 13:00 and return to the parking place around 16:00. This walk has a café on the trail.
The walk will take us from Aalst to the former stagecoach relay station, “de Hut van Mie Pils”. We start at a car park on the edge of a residential area and start our walk through a small forest. After crossing the A2, the highway from Eindhoven to Maastricht, we enter the “Grote Heide”, which is a half-open landscape of heath, lakes and trees. Here we make a large loop and on the way back we stop at “de Hut van Mie Pils” for a drink before returning to the car park.
