20250118 Walk from Eindhoven South to the “Hut van Mie Pils“

2 1/2 hour round walk with starting point at the car park next to Rendierveld 47, 5646AT Eindhoven. We start at 13:00 and return to the parking place around 15:30.
This walk has a café at the half-way point.
The walk will take us from Eindhoven South to the former stagecoach relay station, “de Hut van Mie Pils”. We start at a car park on the edge of a residential area and start our walk through a small forest. Next we enter the open space of the heath “Stratumse heide”. The heath will flower in August and September in beautiful purple colors. After crossing the A67, the highway from Eindhoven to Venlo, we enter the “Grote Heide”, which is a half-open landscape of heath, lakes and trees. Here we can choose for a short walk, suitable for children, or a longer walk to “de Hut van Mie Pils”. At “de Hut” we wait till the group is complete again before returning to Eindhoven.
